Once first reading this article poem you can easily imagine this poem is about an eagle and so (Tennyson). Nevertheless , after additional analysis, a single finds that there is more to this than just the eagle and it's natural behavior. The bald eagle is actually a metaphor for someone's rise and fall.
The 1st and second words with the first line provide a visual that further supports which the eagle is a symbolism for something aside from itself. " He clasps the crag with twisted hands" (1). The word " he" is generally reserved to spell out " a male human or animal" (" he" ). The poem would have easily started out, " This clasps the crag... " or " She clasps the crag... " although instead it starts with the phrase " he". This shows that the object which is why the skull cap is a significance to is known as a masculine specific. The word " talon" explains " the claw of your animal and particularly of a bird of prey" (" talon" ). In this case though, the phrase " hands" is used. This again supports that the poem is about a lot more than an skull cap. Now, while using association of masculinity and hands, you can assume that the metaphor from the eagle is definitely attached to a male individual.
The first brand of the composition does more than just associate a male man. The additional words in the first series: " clasps", " crag", and " crooked, " all affiliate the skull cap with a great elderly individual. When visualizing crooked hands clasping onto something, your body that goes together with the rest of the hands is that of an elderly gentleman. The crookedness could very well be as a result of distortion that bones proceed through as era and rheumatoid arthritis set in. The term " crag" however is definitely " a steep robust rock or cliff" (" crag" ). This is not right away associated with grow older. Now, if the face was " craggy" then one...
